TRIGGER WARNING: Mentions of Gun Violence, Antisemtism
This statement was my first experience with crisis communication before my tenure as NFTY Social Action Vice President. I worked with organization leaders to draft this statement appropriately highlighting the situation for both teen and adult audiences, while also providing readers an opportunity to feel connected and supported at this tragic time. We also offered readers the ability to act and make an impact in relation to this incident and others like it. Through my experience at NFTY, I learned how to execute crisis communication in an appropriate way with sympathy and compassion all while under pressure to meet very tight deadlines for posting. Statement co-authored with Zoe Turner.
